Keyworker system

Here at Bracken Place we operate a key worker system. Our desire is to consider every child individually - our key worker system helps to ensure this. It allows us to support moral, social, intellectual, emotional and physical development in a caring and nurturing manor. Our key worker system allows individual members of staff to focus on children to enhance our philosophy and ethos. It allows us to aid child development through praise and encouragement.

Parentzone

Your child’s keyworker will record and you will be able to view observations, WOW moments and daily updates on the secure Parentzone App.

Car Park & Grounds

Please drive very slowly and carefully as you enter and leave the nursery.

Security

We appreciate that knowing your child is safe in a secure nursery is an important part of deciding who is going to care for your child.

Bracken Place has a controlled door entrance system, and all children are registered on arrival and departure. During the day children are always under the watchful eye of a member of the team and when children go into the garden they are always counted in and out.

Doors and gates must be kept locked or closed at all times when the nursery is open. When you leave the nursery please DO NOT allow anybody else to enter the nursery.

Sickness

Should your child become ill at nursery every effort will be made to contact you or your emergency contact. We reserve the right to take your child to hospital in an emergency.

If your child needs to take any medicine, a form MUST be completed before you leave the nursery.

Staff

We pride ourselves with having some of the very best childcare practitioners. Our staff vary in age and experience so reflecting different views on life. Every staff member has a genuine passion for providing high quality care, seeing each child as an individual, adapting their care accordingly and building a close relationship with the parents so you feel comfortable and confident leaving your precious child in our care.

All staff access regular training in a variety of subjects so they remain up to date with any changes in legislation and practice and to ensure they are providing the children with a different variety of activities. Each staff member has their own group of children that they are responsible for, and very strong bonds are formed with the key worker and parents.

All our staff have a current DBS (police check)
