Toddlers (2 - 3 years)

The Toddler unit is for children aged between 2 and 3 years. It is made up of four playrooms - the small world room, main room, messy room and eating room - and has free flow access to the outdoor deck and hill. 

Free Flow

In Toddlers we introduce a free flow system where children can make the decision to move between each room and the gardens. It allows the children to make independent, confident choices in a safe and secure environment where they are well looked after. and prepares them for their transition to the preschool.

Activities and Outdoors

Toddlers use the outside area of the hill daily in all types of weathers, therefore providing children with the most natural learning environments. 

Activities are structure around the children’s individual learning needs and staff encourage the children to explore and develop. Careful attention is paid to ensure that every child has equal opportunity to develop in all areas of learning.
